Happy Diwali! The festival of light.
On this night we dance the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Diwali is one of the major hindu festivals and a wonderful time to be in community and dance the night away. We will light up the hall and have a few treats for after the dance.
Ecstatic Dance is a freeform practice that invites you to dance like no one is watching to delve under the layers of holding and resistance to set your inner dancer free. A Joyous celebration of life on the dance floor, be in the moment moving which ever way you wish, be in community as you express and release, feel grounded whilst uplifting your spirit to ecstatic states, alcohol, drug and smoke free.
The Dancing Dhevas community is a group dedicated to dancing with passion and authenticity, there is no talking and yet we get to know each other on the dance floor. To move with such authenticity that it liberates the bubbles of ecstasy.
Come as you are or bring a friend, we share a dance floor of like minded souls who move as one and celebrate life in all its complexities in one moment.
Dance the dance only you can dance.
No right or wrong and no set moves, open up to a world of possibilities beyond your imagination, with you, the dance floor and great music!
6:30 to 9pm, DOORS SHUT at 7:00 no entry after then.
Please bring a water bottle, put away phones and shoes before entering the dance floor.

No shoes, we dance bare foot to ground and connect with the earth, freeing your feet will free the body as well as the mind.
No talking on the dance floor, the space becomes safe to express and feel into your dance when the mind pauses the need to communicate through words. Keep the space safe for each other.

The ecstatic dance is a process of delving into your own individual, original dance, it is so unique to you and how you move that it can not be reproduced by anyone else. This gives us the freedom from constraints and judgements so we can explode our potential to move until it unleashes the dancer within. The room takes on a different energy as everyone drops into their dance and natural ecstasy is reached.
We have been teaching conscious dance in WA for over 12 years, trained in various modalities and taught numerous classes, workshops and retreats. The essence never changes, the purity and simplicity humbles us each time we step onto the dance floor and we are ever grateful to the community around us and the earth that holds us.
