An Immersion in Conscious Dance, let's get physical!
A day and a half dancing to enrich the body's knowledge as well as attending to it's needs through mindful stretching and nourishing bodywork.
The dance floor will be our playground, yet including other modalities ripens the fruits of somatic inquiry. Though this inquiry is physical, our play will inform all 4 dimensions of embodiment (physical, emotional, cognitive and soul). When we slow down there is time and space to listen. Asking questions of the body without the need for an answer allows true information to arise, expand, explode and dance.
Guided by the Open Floor Conscious Dance Practice as well as a wider view of supporting modalities, our focus will be the relational hunger for self and self care.
Join us if you are keen to expand your dance, to express your inner world, yearning for acceptance, curious about what else you can be, and all the while celebrating the process of becoming.
We begin on Friday evening with simple exercises to get us dancing and feeling. A taster or warm up for the workshop, Friday serves to set the wheels in motion and get us into the body. Saturday brings a day of mindfulness and joy, a playshop of movement, massage and connection.
Unfurl, definition:
'To spread or shake out from a furled state, as a sail or a flag.
unfurl. Figuratively, to disclose; display. unfurl. To be spread out or
expanded; open to the wind.'
All are welcome, beginners to seasoned dancers, no prerequisites are required to attend, bring lunch to share on Saturday.

Cancellation Policy - Refund minus admin fee is available up to 7 days before the immersion after which there are no refunds, however you may transfer tickets to another person.
The workshop counts as 8.5 prerequisite hrs for the Open Floor teacher training.
About Theva
Theva grew up dancing in London, over time transitioning to conscious dance floors across Europe, Asia and Australia. In 1995 he moved to Western Australia, founding Dancing Dhevas in 2010 and graduating as an Open Floor teacher in 2018. His love of music and movement has sprouted a vibrant dance community in Fremantle, WA where he endeavours to inspire and bring joy. Theva has walked the paths of a yoga teacher, bodyworker, Reiki master, TV producer and a paper boy!
