Poetry in Motion
Immersing in the language of the body.
Poetry in Motion is a transformative conscious dance workshop that invites participants to explore the profound connection between movement and self-expression. This unique and immersive experience goes beyond conventional dance, encouraging participants to tap into their innermost emotions and thoughts, transforming them into a dance of self-discovery.
Guided by Theva an experienced Open Floor teacher participants are encouraged to move beyond the constraints of structured dance steps and embrace the freedom of authentic, intuitive movement.
The workshop begins with a grounding session, fostering a sense of presence and awareness. Through guided exercises and potent music participants connect with their bodies and the energy around them. The dance exploration unfolds progressively, with Theva weaving themes and prompts inspired by poetry into the movement sessions. Through a series of dynamic and fluid movements, participants learn to release inhibitions, connect with their authentic selves, and communicate their emotions in a non-verbal, visceral language.
"Poetry in Motion" is designed to be inclusive, regardless of dance experience, providing a safe and judgment-free space for participants to express themselves freely. The fusion of music, movement, and poetic inspiration aims to transcend verbal language, allowing participants to communicate and connect on a deeper, more profound level.
The workshop provides a safe and judgment-free space for participants to connect with themselves and others on a profound level. Through the language of dance, attendees will explore the poetry within their own bodies, unlocking a rich tapestry of emotions and stories. The communal aspect of the workshop fosters a sense of unity, as participants share in the collective experience of self-discovery and expression.
This is a journey into the depths of personal narrative, an exploration of the human experience through movement, and an opportunity to embrace the transformative power of dance as a form of conscious expression.
"Poetry in Motion" leaves participants with a renewed sense of self-awareness, a greater appreciation for the language of the body, and an integration of conscious dance into their daily lives.
Poetry in Motion invites you to dance your story, embody your emotions, and discover the eloquence of your body's language.
The story unfolds as we move the body, releasing the tales embedded in the dance of a million faces.
